Ask Dr. Warren MD, PhD. Q&A 1

This email series is dedicated to helping people understand some of the techniques and strategies I use to help people stay healthy, avoid illnesses and get the most out of every dollar they spend on their health.

As many of you know I am a huge advocate of Methylene Blue use. So, I wanted to address this question first and clear up a huge misunderstanding in regard to Methylene Blue use.

Question

Is it safe to use Methylene Blue while taking SSRIs?

Answer

Yes. The safe dosage of Methylene Blue when taken with SSRIs is typically considered to be 1 mg/kg of body weight or lower. So, someone weighing 120 pounds can generally rest assured that they can use 54 mg of Methylene Blue daily. This is a conservative approach I subscribe to that helps minimize the risk of serotonin toxicity.

This being said please know that individual responses can vary, and the interaction between Methylene Blue and SSRIs is complex. So, I always have people start low and progress slow.

These are the main Methylene Products I use in my practice, they include:

ADHD 365 bottle and tablets

ADHD 365 Maximum Brain Support Tablets has 2.5 mg of methylene blue per tablet.

NeroPro Plus bottle and tablets

NeuroPro Plus Mitochondria Health Tablets has 15 mg of methylene blue per tablet.

Be-OnGuard Brain Fog Support bottle

Be-OnGuard Brain Fog Support Drops has 10 mg of methylene blue per 1 ml — which is a dropper full.

It is unbelievable how many people I have helped with these products. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Yours In Health and Wellness!

Steven Warren, MD, PhD
